Report: Bulgaria allows Kozloduy to get repair tools from Russia
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- The government of Bulgaria has allowed nuclear power plant Kozloduy, launched in 1974, to get the equipment necessary for annual maintenance of the sixth unit from Russia, the Bulgarian National Television reported on Wednesday.
The European law limits the range of services and goods allowed to be imported from Russia, but there is the right for exemption for nuclear power items.
The power plant, built with active participation of the Soviet Union, has two units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1,000 megawatts.
